What Wavertree Solvent Systems Can Do For You

It is the primary objective of Wavertree to ensure that our solvent systems address environmental and toxicity concerns.  In practice this generally translates to a significant reduction in, or often elimination of SVHC and/or VOC content compared to those solvents they replace,

In nearly every instance Wavertree solvents cost less to purchase than those they replace.  Additionally, due to their lower toxicity handling costs may be reduced.  Other cost savings associated with their improved technical performance can be realized in client's manufacturing  processes and products.  These other potential cost savings will be apparent from the subsequent sections that follow

Not only can Wavertree Solvents readily dissolve difficult target materials e.g. Polyimide (PI), Polyetherimide (PEI) they generally can do so to higher concentrations and much faster, up to 100x faster!  They also produce solutions with lower surface tension and viscosity, particularly useful in coating applications.  Taken together, as an example for multicoat processes it may be possible to eliminate passes yielding increased throughput and capacity.as well as products with better substrate adhesion etc.

Is a change in boiling point, flash point etc desirable compared to the current system?  Wavertree allows for some ability to adjust these and other parameters, meeting several constraints and/or targets simultaneously

Besides the myriad of benefits outlined above, Wavertree Solvents can often be designed to have broad or narrow spectrum applicability.  Is it necessary to dissolve several different materials or a specific target leaving others unaffected?  Sometimes the specificity can be so narrow as to differentiate between different proprietary grades of the same material, dissolving one but not the other,
